YPN Chair, amanda gadacz

Financial Advisor
Edward Jones

Involved with YPN since 2009

Why did I get involved:
I saw YPN as a unique opportunity to connect with other YPs, stay involved with the community in which I live, and stay informed about the economics that impact our demographic.

Best part about YPN:
Meeting successful business owners who speak at our Power Lunches and mingling with other like-minded ambitious YPs by attending a networking event. All of these avenues allowed me to build rapport with people who can help enhance what I do, grow and succeed, and even be a path for making new friends.

YPN Vice chair, ERIN BONIN

Involved with YPN since 2006

Why did I get involved:
I recognized the value it could add to my personal and professional life. A native of Wisconsin, YPN offered a great way for me to get plugged in with other YPs in the area.

Best part about YPN:
YPN is an open, welcoming group that never makes you feel like an outsider. I've made great friends and professional contacts through YPN and love helping other people do the same!

KYLE CHAMBERLIN

Why did I get involved:
YPN offered a YP with few career-related contacts the ability to make and development professional relationships.

Best part about YPN:
YPN is a flexible commitment. Whether your schedule allows for three events per month or three events per year, your participation is welcomed.

RYAN FENSTERMAKER

1st Source Bank

Involved with YPN since 2006

Why did I get involved:
I was new to the South Bend business community after graduating from DePauw and was looking to make connections and get involved.

Best part about YPN:
The various engagement opportunities and the people you meet. You can do as much or as little as you like. You get out of YPN what you put in.

CARA GRABOWSKI

Senior Manager, Programming & Events
South Bend Regional Chamber

Involved with YPN since 2011

Why did I get involved:
It's an excellent resource for those starting their professional careers and a great way to meet other like-minded people. YPs are the future of our community. It's important to start building relationships early and learn about all the wonderful things this area has to offer.

Best part about YPN:
It's getting to know other YPs from the various organizations in the area. It's fun to watch YPs attend our events and watch them make connections and form relationships with others.

Liz harter

Social Media Manager
University of Notre Dame

Involved with YPN since 2016

Why did I get involved:
I went to college in South Bend, but moving back after four years and knowing very few people, I saw YPN as a way to both get to know people but also a way to get to know the city as an adult instead of as a student.

Best part about YPN:
Exploring new (and new to you) places in the city and creating a personal and professional network. I've met some of my best friends and also some of the first people I call when I need professional advice at YPN events.

Brandon Nettrouer

Associate Risk Advisor
Gibson

Involved with YPN since 2016

Why did I get involved:
I grew up in a small town where friends and familiar faces were always close by. I went to college at Indiana State, which was seven times the size of my hometown, but after getting involved, it became a place that I would routinely meet new people and always see familiar faces. Life is more fun with friends nearby and getting involved with YPN has been a way for me to create new friendships in a new city that’s eight times the size of my college campus.

Best part about YPN:
Developing connections and friendships with regular attendees at YPN events. Every event you’re able to see someone again is another opportunity to pick up right where you left off at the last event. “Networking” can be a bit tough at first but being able to “connect” with someone you routinely meet is impactful, both personally and professionally.

Christine Walsh

Marketing Director
TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre

Involved with YPN since 2016

Why did I get involved:
The compelling content and speakers drew me into the YPN Power Lunches and events when the group was established 10 years ago. The Power Lunches are always fast pasted, timely, educational and applicable. As a young professional, it's imperative that we spend our time learning and growing, and YPN never lacks delivery.

Best part about YPN:
I have made so many personal and professional connections over the years. Plus it's awesome to be part of something that is still evolving and growing! YPN is filled with some of the best and brightest minds in our region working together to continue of collectively growing ourselves and St. Joseph County.
