Hugh Johnson J2 Community Impact

Kate O’connor’s Pub
Kate O'Connor's Irish Pub owners Amanda and Mike welcome Amazon to New Carlisle, Indiana. "We've definitely seen an increase in lunch sales. The afterwork drinks and snacks have been really good," says Amanda. "We just want to make sure everybody's taken care of and we appreciate everybody coming in," says Mike.

K2 Power Solutions is installing medium voltage infrastructure for AWS’s data centers in New Carlisle. According to President Nick Weldy: "We've been afforded the opportunity to grow our employment, our tools, our equipment, our building, and our business. Meet JJ Lutz, a project engineer with AWS who's excited to return to Indiana! “Originally I was in Chicago with a subtractor for 10 years,” said Lutz. “I moved there after graduating from Purdue University.” He’s been looking for opportunities to get back to the community he grew up in, and says this new role was the perfect fit!
