Chamber to Present Inaugural Career Launch Event to Connect Students and Business

In an effort to find workforce and talent solutions for area businesses, the South Bend Regional Chamber will present the inaugural Industry Connected Career Launch on March 24 and 25 at the Century Center in South Bend. The event serves as a platform for high school students from the region, along with adults, to connect with potential employers, as well as education and training programming opportunities.
Career Launch is ideal for businesses looking for entry-level employees, summer interns, apprentice candidates and more. A variety of industry sectors will be on display for students to find out more information on their career pathway, from manufacturing and construction to hospitality and business services, and more.
The event will build awareness of the wide variety of educational and career opportunities available in our region. Some 2,500 high school students will be bused to the event over the two-day period (9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. March 24 and 25), while adults, parents and other students who are unable to attend during the day will have the opportunity to connect on Tuesday, March 24, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
All businesses are encouraged to participate, as they review their immediate and future workforce needs. Spaces can be obtained for $100. For businesses to register for a space, visit sbrchamber.com/launch to register, or contact the Chamber’s Alyson Herzig at 574.400.4048.
