Today (September 11), Four Winds Casino South Bend announced the addition of a 23-story, 317-room hotel and spa to its Four Winds South Bend campus. The projected two-year build will bring 400 temporary construction jobs and 100 permanent new jobs to support ongoing operations.
"Not only is expansion of Four Winds South Bend a significant economic development independence in the history of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians, but it also demonstrates our continued commitment to invest in the community of South Bend for many years to come," said Matt Wesaw, tribal council chairman.
The hotel will have its own entrance, separate from the casino, and include a day spa, ballroom, convention and meeting space and rooftop outdoor swimming pool. The facility will also feature a full-service bar and grill, multiple common areas for guests to enjoy and terraces with spectacular views.
A VIP lounge hospitality area will occupy the fourth floor, which will contain a bar and grill and outdoor swimming pool, along with four to five hospitality suites and outdoor terraces to be used for community, business and personal events and more. The top floor will include penthouse suites.
A specific construction start date and completion date was not provided.
