State of the Region: AN Economic Update

The Chamber and Young Professionals Network South Bend will partner on this event that will feature a panel discussion with Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Mayor Dave Wood and Chamber President and CEO Jeff Rea to provide perspective and insight as to the economic health and position of the area. Attendees will hear the latest updates and be "in-the-know" about our region and become even greater champions!

State of the Schools: A Conversation with Superintendents

This event will feature a panel discussion with our area superintendents from Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation, School City of Mishawaka and South Bend Community School Corporation.

Business After Hours

The Chamber presents up to 5 early-evening networking events per year, typically held in anuary, March, May, July and November from 4:00-6:00 P.M. Let us know if there is a month that interests you.

Summer Community Engagement Program

During each summer, our area’s interns are invited through the INTERN South Bend Region program, to participate in community challenges and educational programming to better engage them, not only with each other, but also with the South Bend Region. Manufacturing Day 2018*

Join the South Bend Regional Chamber and Michiana NTMA (National Tooling and Machining Association) as we partner with area businesses and educators to spotlight manufacturing career opportunities on Friday, October 5 during Manufacturing Day 2018. This event takes students on-site to various manufacturing firms and educational institutions in the area to learn what manufacturing is all about and what a career in manufacturing means.

In 2017, 21 businesses, Ivy Tech, Purdue Polytechnic South Bend, the South Bend Electrical JATC Apprenticeship program and nearly 600 students from Mishawaka High School, Penn High School, South Bend Career Academy and South Bend Community School Corporation participated. This year, our goal is to expand to more businesses and reach more students. Your partnership illuminates a pathway for our future workforce by showing them the educational and career opportunities available in our community.

Welcome 2-3 tour groups of 30 students. Each tour is 60-70 minutes in length.
