The student faculty ratio is 15:1, and the average class size is 20 students. The 850 students represent diverse socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, with 34% identifying from racial or ethnic minorities (including 19% latinX) or as international students. The Assistant Principal for Student Life serves on the administrative team, supports students in meeting Diocesan and school expectations, and supports and strengthens the mission of Saint Joseph High School. The leader of the Office of Student Life, the Assistant Principal for Student Life oversees several aspects of the student experience, such as: attendance, arrival/dismissal; student parking; guest speakers; cafeteria; student government and other student co-curricular activities; student orientation; behavioral expectations and discipline issues; the school safety plan and the parent/student handbook.
