Currently hiring for an Education Sales Director to grow, develop, expand and support current customers within our home base Michiana territory (Main hubs are Chicago- South Bend- Indianapolis- Grand Rapids). As to ensure your ability to service and expand current customers while prospecting new business with a goal of doubling the market share in the coming year, we commit to structuring the role effectively so that you are able to focus on selling through building and sustaining long term relationships.
Therefore, unlike many traditional sales positions, we believe in a wholistic team approach to relational based long term selling and provide a dedicated team to each customer that consists of a sales consultant, project manager, estimator, and customer service support. We believe in learning by doing so initially you will be a working leader developing the territory and learning our culture, customers, business, strategy and people. This way you will have firsthand working knowledge of what is needed to be successful and hire an additional Education Systems Consultant to round out your team.
If you desire to build your own business and have autonomy, possess a knack for building long term relationships through servant leadership and deliver our customers exceptional service and value, you would fit within our culture.
*Bachelor’s Degree: engineering, business, and/ or a technical degree is preferred; MBA or advanced degree preferred
*5+ year’s work experience within life safety, security, audio visual and/or communication systems highly desired. Work experience within the education sector and demonstrated understanding of the financial and budgeting cycles
*A proven track record of executive leadership leading & developing teams and leading by example to grow sales and provide value to customers.
*Experience with facilities blue prints and/ or space drawings will be helpful but not required.
*Technology skills: Sales CRM, Email, Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
*Exceptional written and oral communication required, strong negotiation skills, creative problem solving and ability to persevere when faced with obstacles, ability to develop and deliver effective value- based proposals and presentations to a wide variety of stakeholders throughout the schools. Demonstrated expert at time management, organizational skills, and customer service.
As well, we desire someone who has proven track record for growing territories through stretch goals in your prior work history. Strong problem solving and critical thinking, ability to influence throughout the ranks, coupled with a sharp business mind and passion for sales and the mission of the systems!
Oh...and you must be fun, humble, kind, generous and possess a true servant leadership and customer service mentality or this company and role will not be a fit for you!
Compensation: Base Salary + Commission
