Plans are underway for the University of Notre Dame’s Second Annual BLDG Trades Day @ ND! The Notre Dame Facilities Design & Operations team, in partnership with MACIAF, St. Joseph Valley Building Trades, South Bend Regional Chamber and Greater Niles Chamber will welcome students, educators, parents and adult career seekers throughout the day. Approximately 1,100 high school students from the area who are interested in trades careers will have an opportunity to talk with contractors and tradesmen about their career pathways, the work they do and explore what a future in the trades might look like for them through conversation and hands-on activities. Morning and early afternoon hours will be reserved for scheduled student tours, and the event will open to the public at 2:30 p.m. Students and educators will also be given a tour of new dorms and football operations facility currently under construction.

The event will open to the general public, free of charge at Notre Dame’s Stepan Center, from 2:30-5:30 p.m. Parking will be available in White Field with shuttles running from 2:30-6:00 p.m.
