The St. Joseph County Chamber of Commerce has launched the details of its four-year, $3.75 million economic development strategic initiative, growSJC—Invest in Your Future, a campaign that will result in the creation of 2,000 new jobs and $250 million in new capital investment.
The growSJC initiative will bolster the Chamber’s economic development efforts by providing the necessary resources to better position St. Joseph County to compete in a global economy. The Chamber serves as the county’s Lead Economic Development Organization (LEDO) and works closely with the cities of South Bend, Mishawaka and St. Joseph County on economic development strategies.
The growSJC campaign target is to raise a minimum of $3.75 million over a four-year period, ending in 2017. The campaign’s success relies on investment from both the private (70 percent) and public sectors (30 percent).
