What is the construction timeline?
Ultium anticipates the project will take approximately two years to build, dependent on labor and material availability. Once a location decision has been made, we anticipate construction to begin spring 2023, with operations to begin 2025.

Vice President of Operations, Tom Gallagher noted at the St. Joseph County Council Meeting on 8.23.22 that the three other Ultium plants are in the process of being built with union labor and expects the fourth plant will be as well. At peak construction of the Lordstown EV plant (similar size) approximately 2,000 tradesmen and women were on site.

Will the site be accessed through residential areas?
Construction equipment will predominantly access the site via SR 2 to Larrison Road.
