As reported on April 7, the county’s (St. Joseph) total number of confirmed cases is 129 with one death. Statewide, it is 5,507 (28,764 tested), with 173 deaths. Please be mindful of the spaces you use and remember playgrounds remain closed. Stay home! If you must get out, please practice social distancing (6-foot separation), and use a cloth mask (but don't touch your face and still practice the guidelines of social distancing) that covers your nose and mouth.

As of March 16, Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb ordered no in-person events of more than 50 people, while also ordering bars, nightclubs and restaurants closed through the end of March. Restaruants can still provide takeout and delivery services. As of March 16, the CDC recommended gatherings of no more than 10 people.

Hygiene and Social Recommendations
- Practice social distancing, six feet apart. Note: the CDC is recommending gatherings of no more than 10 people.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds. If soap and water is unavailable, use hand sanitizer.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.
- Cover your mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing, preferably with your elbow.
- Avoid handshakes.
- Avoid contact with people who are sick.
- If you don't feel well, stay home
