The Chamber is the voice of the business community. With the strength of 1,000-plus member businesses, representing over 60,000 employees, we offer influence and advocacy to position our community and region for economic growth and success. This means supporting issues and candidates that create an environment where businesses can thrive and prosper.
Our efforts in government affairs are as important as those in economic development and education in transforming our community.
Since 2008, the Chamber has endorsed school board candidates, and in 2011, it also endorsed candidates in municipal races. Over the years, we’ve taken positions on issues important to business like the South Shore 90x2020 initiative, daylight-saving time, local government reform and tax ordinances.
